Q:hello kazusan i was wondering what tablet you use and im sorry if you get asked this frequently i couldnt find a FAQ or anything
I use a Wacom Intuos4 medium
my mouse is a Mad Catz RAT7
my keyboard is a Razer Deathstalker
my giant tea mug is from Meijer and my extra fancy giant tea mug is from my aunt
These colors came out differently than what I had in my head, and maybe not… high class enough. I guess green to me reads “grunt”. I’ll try another few combinations I think
I decided to make use of the yellow box on his head: they are energy scanners and they help him to hunt out cloaked enemies. I am also considering making the exhaust vents on the shoulder, which don’t make much sense as exhaust on an electric machine, into homing missile launchers based on lock-on with the orange searching beams. This would also give me that swarming weapon he needs to complete the “bug” theme. There’d be about a dozen small electrically charged missiles that attach themselves to a warframe and stun the character/knock them down with small to medium damage.
I’ve added a bunch of color ideas.
Q:Truly, the Amon mask you made is THE most accurate I've ever seen. If you could spare the file to a novice crafter such as myself, I would be deeply appreciative of your generosity.
I made that pattern for my ex girlfriend, and I know it sounds dumb but it still has sentimental value to me. I don’t think I’d feel good about releasing it, I am sorry I know it’s really dumb… I am glad you like it so much though * - * I hope you can find another you like too, weh
Q:Just a question ... I really like your 3D stuff and I hope one day I can be that good. But I HATE Maya. And the way they teach it in school is dreadful. But - I really want to be good at it! Any tips?
Oh! I have no idea how they do it in schools, but what I did was I followed a few of the basic UI tutorials provided by the program itself and then I watched a ton of Youtubes. It’s like The Matrix. I know kung fu.
Final orthographic view of this beast. I plan on doing at least a front view and I have a top view sketched but I may just hop right into Maya to block this out… getting impatient, want to Zbrush…………
Shown without the capacitors, which blocked the view. They will be there on the model.
Wow xNormal is really outdated (the UI is anyway) but it sure works slick! Got my first normal map out without the problems I was having in Maya! FINALLY I CAN DO HIGH POLY SHIT FOR LOW POLY GAME ASSETS this was the last piece of the puzzle I needed to get the achieve
xNormal bake on the left, Maya on the right. See all those facets and the weird hard edge that’s inset from all the outer edges? Yeah, that’s my low poly being baked right on my high poly normal map. Idk why?!?! but whatever now I can ignore it because I can use xNormal lolol
Sometimes he stabs you with his little stabby-stab that’s attached to the hinge joint on his wrist (he can flip it back when he’s not using it) and electrocute you that way if you get too close. He has three giant capacitors on his back (they’re shaded darker). He can run pretty quick.
Personality-wise, he’s kind of twitchy like an insect. He’s missing half his brain, which has been augmented by machinery, and often has digital artifacts in his voice. Because he has no lower lip, he has trouble with certain sounds, like F and M, and has a slight tendency to spit.
The lightning arm can function as a cannon and as an area of effect weapon, electrifying everything in the room. He’s a bit over-zealous with this weapon because of his high energy levels (ha-ha), paranoia, and thinly-veiled fear of the Tenno.
Uh. It spins up slowly at the base, where it meets the black part (which is the character’s forearm right before the elbow). It would be spinning pretty quick in its open stage.
I was debating on it having 2 parts, 3 parts, or 4. I left it at 2 because the open silhouette is just so nice… if I modeled it I think I’d favor 3.
